Down a Dark Road by Linda Castillo

5.0

4 1/2 stars. This is one of my favorite Kate Burkholder novels. I am growing very fond of Castillo's regular group of characters. The relationship with Tomasetti seems to be growing into something less tumultuous and more comfortable for them both, which is nice. It was great to see the local cop team rally around Kate when needed in this installment - they are starting to have a real group dynamic and a cohesion that I appreciate. It's a good, solid story, and although it deals with a lot of frustration and regret, it's still an easy read that didn't leave me feeling morose, only mildly regretful that such things happen.
