I was a little meh on this book until King Grome showed up and I understood the charm. I had a dumb grin on my face during Grome’s appearance and the campiness continues from there. The writing was serviceable and the characters were a little flat, but what really stood out to me was the charm. If you’re into sword and sorcery, you will probably like this book. I liked it enough to continue on.
