What Belongs to You
by Garth Greenwell
Bert, I think you might like this book. It's very different to "If I Forget You" but written with a similar feeling of poetry and gentle heartbreak. Perhaps that's the wrong way to put it, because when is heartbreak ever gentle, but the same kind of subtle observations and nuanced language that pulls you right in. There were times I wanted to cry without really knowing why, there's just something in there that finds a deeply human heartstring and slowly pulls while quietly unraveling. Would be interested to hear your thoughts if you ever read it.
