This is a strange book. I’ve never read anything like it. Some parts were excellent. Some parts felt like words had been vomited into strange incoherent sentences. Sometimes they were both. The book was so short, and yet discussed so many things. Enigmatic throughout. I could never quite understand what was going on. However I do finally understand the meaning of ‘stream of consciousness’. It is a book I want to reread in the original language (French) in a few years, and see if my opinion changes. I’m conflicted on my opinion on this book- that’s the only thing I’m sure of.
