Genuinely disappointed in this one.
So, it is my fault that I went into this book not knowing a single thing. I did not know that it was a full on interview or that it was this long (I got an ebook). The plot follows the band from the formation to the ending of it. Honestly, I did not care for any of the characters or the story or the band. I did care a bit for Karen at one point but I think caring is a stretch. I was very obsessed with the rock n roll bands in my teens and watched one too many interviews/documentaries of those bands like The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd... So, I felt like I know what happens in this book without even reading it.
The characters are all very selfish and arrogant and annoying. Billy and Daisy are the same person and it said that in the book. It is later revealed who the author/interviewer of the book is and I felt like some of the opinions are biased because of that. That is not a problem but I had a realisation after reading it.
The writing style is a lot to handle. It's not your conventional book, it's all in dialogue from the person saying it. It was easy to read but not compelling enough for me to love it.
