Lost 2 stars when she didn't come clean when he did. It went from not a thing to a HUGE thing. Now it's smth she's actively keeping from him beyond what she does for the gen public. Their relationship gets very serious and he trusts her with stuff and then she doesn't do the same. That shit will piss me off every single time. Never a good reason for it and I can't forgive it. I knew there were secrets in this book, which I hate, but I gave it a chance anyways bc I like MM's books. I'm disappointed. Theres 2 other MM books where the fmc keeps a secret until WAY late so this will make me side eye MM's books from here out. I almost DNFd bc I was so pissed. I feel like this is like a theme for this author? And it's so not my vibe.

I did love hart. He was wonderful. And the spice is definitely SPICING.
