Love on the Brain
by Ali Hazelwood
Maybe it’s rose tinted glasses that I’ve acquired through reading “The Love Hypothesis” but despite the repetition, or maybe it’s something else, I still love this book. Do I maybe have blind love for this writing?
There are still some things I can’t look past. First off, where’s the enemies? Bee and Levi are just Dumb and bad at communicating. Levi, being dumb for his lack of communication and just assuming Bee is married when a simple conversation about the ring say maybe, the night she was saved from the graveyard? The same night she was still assuming he was married?
And Bee? oh my god she made me want to pull my hair out sometimes. How can one look at a man who practically worships you on a pedestal every night in bed and just think the sex you’re having is casual? Lord, the hoops this woman jumped through to deny her feelings made me want to scream into the void.
But maybe that’s how it’s supposed to be. Frustratingly watching two idiots become lovers.
mad at the lack of enemies, love the happy ending that I’ve waited the whole book for. They’re good for each other and I’m excited to see what she publishes next.
