This is a novella. It's the first audio I've listened to in this series and I have to say I really loved it. I wasn't sure I would when I realized just how strong the southern twang is by the narrator, but I slid right into it like a well worn glove.
The story was interesting, too, and it cranked me up and got me ready for the coming novel release, which I'm sure was the intent with the release timing.
It was good enough to make me wonder if I should be listening to these books instead of reading them.
