Family Family
by Laurie Frankel
This book is a fresh take on an adoption story, most of which are usually one note. The central thesis of this book is a heartwarming one: family comes in all shapes, sizes, and makeups. Some parts dragged on and were a bit repetitive, and I found many of the scenes to be overloaded with kitschy dialogue and extended metaphors that I could have done without, but overall recommend.
