Sweet Dandelion
by Micalea Smeltzer
This book has such a beautiful story, especially if you love age gap. It follows an 18 year old girl on her journey to adapt to her new life in a new city and school. Due to unforeseen circumstances Dandelion moves in with her brother and is made to go back to school to finish Senior Year. Dandelion has overcome so much for such a young girl and has had to endure the pain on loosing someone very important to her on top of other terrible tragedies that she's encountered. This book is honestly, to this day, one of the best books I have ever read in my life. The love story is perfect and everything unfolds in such an organic way that you're rooting for these characters the entirety of the book. Not once do you even think that this girl is getting groomed by someone in a higher position, because that's not what happens. Like I said the way the story develops in such an organic way and takes course over a year. This is not insta-love but it's also not a slow burn you get to see the Counselor-Student side of things then the friendship aspect and lastly the romance. Micalea does an amazing job of delivering this story and making you understand every single action behind every emotion. There were so many moments where I felt the characters were real and I was reading a true story. Obsessed with this book.
