This book is an incredibly hard read. There were many times I found myself wanting to put it down and not pick it back up again. It is very important to look at content warnings before deciding to read this. That being said, if you like a book that will challenge you and your own morality, then here it is. This book deals with very complex themes of patriarchy, racism, religion, wealth disparity, forgiveness, and war. If examining these things through the lens of a flawed and somewhat unreliable narrator is interesting to you, I think you’ll appreciate this book as much as I did. There is so much more I want to say about this book, but I don’t know how to put it into words. Read it.
