Thirsty by Mia Hopkins

ok but wow i loved this book! I love messy, flawed, complicated and conflicted characters and yep I fell for Sal hard. We only get his POV but it really worked for me, being in Sal's head was funny and heart wrenching.

I just wanted to hug him? and shake him when he was about to mess up. And he did mess up!

I enjoyed Sal and Vanessa together but lawd I was on edge for Sal, because the whole gang's gonna come calling for you soon Sal just had my heart racing. Mia did a good job of fleshing out that internal conflict. Sal's trying to do good, stay out of trouble, and not bring any trouble to Vanessa' life. e doesn't quite succeed with this but when the moment came he didnt do what the gang wanted him to do but there were consequences none the less.

I really liked Vanessa. We don't get her POV at all in this but through Sal's eyes we got a clear enough picture I think. I loved how the banter between them and how Sal was such a goner for her. Also her grandmother cracked me up.

Now I don't know a damn thing about beer, i don't drink it but I appreciated Alan so much. Sal learning about brewing and Alan believing in him got me emotional. That he saw Sal had it in him to pursue the brewing course.

Also lemme just say Mia Hopkins knows how to bring it with these sexy scenes. Damn. *fans self.*

I think this book was really character driven which i liked. I was invested in Sal and how he'd work all this out!

His brother Eddie gets introduced near the end so I'm looking forward to his book

and holyyyyy shit that ending!!! o m g. I need some explanations! Which i suppose we get in book 2. This is also my first book by this author and wont be my last :D
