Memento Mori by Muriel Spark

4.0

"'Remember you must die."'

So says the anonymous voice on the telephone, making calls to various elderly people. Is it a threat, or simply pointing out a simple fact of life? We are born, we live, we die.
Muriel Spark's keen and scathing wit is turned on a group of elderly men and women. As always, she is brutally honest in her forthright descriptions of the indignity, frustration and often humiliation of growing old.
