This was a great example of a horrific story and not a scary one. Intriguing, atmospheric, mysterious, and haunting, House of Hollow leads you along to enlightenment at exactly the same pacing as our MC. What/who is stalking the Hollow sisters? What happened to the sisters all those years ago, and why can't they remember?

I strongly discourage anyone with body horror triggers from reading this, as that where 90-95% of the horror elements come into place. If you can stomach it, this reads almost like a crime novel as we hunt for a missing sister and uncover who's responsible and why. But throw in some haunting bit of carnal magic.

Not only does the plotline of this novel hook you from the outset, but in the moments it might seem to drag, you're so invested in the characters it doesn't matter. This book rewards its reader at every turn with character information, lore drops, and clue reveals.
