Finally finished the Dexter series....it was a long slog. My favourite of the series is still the very first one and this one is ok, better than the last few anyway.
I do feel like some storylines were mashed together in an attempt to close up some loose ends, particularly in the case of his brother who makes scarce appearances throughout the series....it felt like the author just thought of getting him in the book properly and came up with a barely believable storyline in order to do that.
As much as I wasn't a fan of the last book, I was excited by the cliff hanger and got onto this book quickly. I feel that that storyline just ended with no real excitement and just fizzled out into the other storyline to include his brother.
I did give it 3 stars...it was slightly better than a good few of the books in the series but lazily mashed together storylines and a non definitive ending has made me take away 2 stars.
