Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows
by J.K. Rowling
Unbelievable. The tone is completely different than the rest of the books and the themes are heavier. Rowling adds flashbacks or references from the previous books and it really makes you realize how much the characters have grown over the series.
I love that we get the payoff of dumbledores past, it humanizes him and puts Harry and him on an equal playing field in a way. He’s not just the wise mentor, but a person who’s grown but never fully healed from their past
