Anyone But You by Jennifer Crusie

3.0

I really love Crusie's voice, but this is only the second Crusie book I've actually liked from the six or seven I've read (which is crazy because Bet Me is actually my favourite romance novel ever?) - it's short and light and the characters are all likeable. And I'm always a fan of romances about people who are more settled down, more experienced, a little older, and I think the beats of Nina and Alex's relationship over the course of the book was really nice to see. Their friendship in the first half of the book was lovely. The writing was warm and witty and it made me smile a lot, which is always good; romance novels don't make me laugh a lot.

Three stars because I don't know how likely it is that I'll reread the parts I really loved, but all in all I enjoyed it!
