The Harbors of the Sun by Martha Wells

3.0

The story that was told was not the one I was interested in. There were way more interesting things going on on the sidelines that I expected to eventually take center-stage, but they never did. The half-fell and how everyone was going to deal with them, especially considering their own experience and backgrounds, was way more interesting than yet another race with a boring bureaucrat.

The last 2 books of the series were not bad, but for the best experience one should stop at book 3.

PS: Everyone kept squeezing wrists, made me worried about how bruised those wrists had become by the last chapter. Don't they have other parts to squeeze???
