Swear on This Life
by Renée Carlino
Swear on this Life contains a story within a story. Whilst the heroine goes about reclaiming her old love interest, she delves deep into her past with this guy via a book he wrote about them.
The thing is, I liked the metaphorical book more than the real book. Turns out that as kids the couple were really cute, damaged, but inseparable. As grown ups, they're spoiled, self centred and a lot more messed up than when they were kids.
3 stars (only because I loved their childhood so much).
