so glad i finally got round to reading this after it had been sat on my tbr for years!
wonderfully magical - a mix of ww2 style historical fiction with magic and romance. Made for an atmosphere perfect for the autumn which i never knew i needed, but now i’ll definitely be in the look out for more books with similar vibes!
The characters were addictive - i felt so much sorrow for Iris for what she went through at such a young and got so attached to her and Roman’s story. Seeing both of their development through the story was a pleasure and I cannot wait to see what happens in book 2 after that ending!
I listened to a good chunk of this on audiobook and I would really recommend that too! the two voice actors for the dual POVs were such a treat. The writing was also amazing, given the entire book was about two authors this makes sense haha. Definitely recommend!
