The plot itself was really interesting, and it certainly picked up toward the big finale. But I felt like it was written like a first draft. Nothing was particularly magnificent. A lot of the time, it made me feel dumb by explaining things that didn't need to be explained, or concealing information that shouldn't have been concealed.
