I would give more than 5 Stars if it were possible.
It's been a while since I've read anything from the King and I'd forgotten just how his books make you feel.
And this easy, little read makes you feel the absolute most.
I almost always enioy a Stephen King but the premise of this one (as intriguing as it is) and its short page count didn't prepare me for the complete roller-coaster of emotions I experienced. Confusion, Interest, Investment, Annoyance, Defeat, Hope, Relief, Love, Loss
I'm usually a quiet reader, but I was spilling this plot to my partner page for page as I went.
With a super likable main character that was too easy to root for, and an ending that leaves that sense of awe bordering on fear taste in your mouth,I'm almost ready to call this one of my all-time favorites... I'd happily call this one of my new all-time favorites.
