quality lesbian fiction? who would’ve thought it was possible. not me. anyway, I loved this. it was funny and bright and such a compelling story. I can’t wait to watch the movie. anyway it’s really tough to read if you, yourself, is LGBT bc there is A LOT of shaming of this (obviously, she goes to a conversion camp) but I am secure and comfortable enough with my sexuality by now to laugh off any argument against it. doesn’t mean it didn’t hit, though.
ugh and it was really hard to fucking read about mark cutting up his own genitals and putting bleach on them. ouch.
