A very sweet, gentle and tender novella, a perfect companion to get back into reading after a hiatus! Chambers puts us right into the world, and while we don’t go into anything particularly deeply, through our characters we get to know everything we need. I loved the interactions between Dex and Mosscap sooo much - very sweet and light balance of logic, conflict and harmony. An interspecies tale of unlikely companionship. Two beings meeting at a point in time. Their interactions and conversations allow space for us to reflect as one learns and one questions. And we make space for the histories we bring with us, and the futures we hope to be part of.
