I liked the idea behind the premise but the book itself was unfortunately kind of disappointing. The narrative kept on jumping around and I had a hard time keeping track of each individual setting they were in.

Also why was Merlin, who has presumably been alive for many millennia, constantly making pop culture references to a narrow window of time in the late 20th / early 21st century?
