A Court of Silver Flames by Sarah J. Maas

5.0

The finale of the ACOTAR series. How it all wraps up. I ALMOST considered giving one less star just for all the agonizing smut I had to read through to finish out this series; BUT the last several chapters of the book were so worth it and mostly made up for the smut torture to get there. I expected it, considering there is some amount in every book. This one definitely takes the cake in the smut category, though.

The concept and descriptive writing of this entire series always brought me into the story. Everything is so well thought out, and there is always a minimum of one jaw dropping moment in every book (No, not referring to all the descriptive smutty stuff, either.) I love this world Sarah J. Maas has created and shared with us.

Nesta is rarely anyone's favorite sister leading up to this point, but wait until you see where she goes and how she ends up.

There is a lot of girl power in this one. There's a lot of dealing with past trauma. There's a lot of rising above. There's a lot of anger and hurt. There are a lot of mistakes made. There's a lot of forgiveness. There's a lot of carving out where each character belongs in their world. There is a lot of finding one's self-worth.

Family is not necessarily something you are born into, it is something you make.
