Dark Flame by Alyson Noël
3.0

I loved Evermore the first book in the series. It had a bit of a Twilight vibe but has immortals instead of vampires. Then Blue Moon came out. That is when Ever started getting stupid and making mistakes and that continued on into Shadowland. Honestly when I read Shadowland I liked it but afterwards when I thought about it I was questioning why I even read these books but something about them makes me keep reading them.

SPOILER ALERT for anyone who has yet to read Dark Flame or Shadowland.

So I get Dark Flame and start it and of course Ever is being even more stupid in the beginning with Haven being immortal and all. It continues on with slashing Jude's arm because she thinks he is an immortal (I don't know why there is even a "love triangle between her Jude and Damen because we all know she will end up with Damen) and then she casts a spell that backfires and makes her lust for Roman (who I thought like Drina in Evermore that Ever would kill him in Blue Moon but he continued to be an annoying pest throughout the next three books)
But surprisingly (and thankfully) in the end Ever starts to get a brain, tells Damen everything that’s going on and starts to resolve her problems and eventually ends in Roman's death (which was not caused by Ever but instead by Jude) So now the series continues with Night Star (November 2010) where she must find a cure for her and Damen. Stay tuned.
