Beach Read by Emily Henry

5.0

Say hello to the book that brough me out of a reading slump!
I've been hearing nothing but great things about this book, and I'm so glad I was able to give it a read for myself and find the first 5 star read of 2022!
Beach Read follows two authors, Augustus Everett and January Andrews as they work on their next big book releases while staying in their beach houses, and, uh-oh; looks like these two might have a bit of a past that didn't go so smoothly, and now have to be neighbors while trying to pull through their own bouts of writers' block and get their next projects finished.

I loved the pacing of this book and all the different scenarios and predicaments our characters find themselves in at every turn of the page.
I could heavily relate to January and her personality as well as some of the personal struggles that are brought up within the storyline, and it made my reading experience that much better. I was smiling, laughing, crying, and blushing in these pages, and it was amazing. I highly recommend giving this lovely book a try! It's easy to read, has a beautiful setting and adorable, loving characters. All around, just an adorable piece of work.
