This book was very hard for me to get into. It took me a literal year to read it. I really wanted to love it as someone who enjoys mysteries and drama and all the things this promised to be. But I feel like the story only unfolded in exposition, not necessarily in narrative. And the mystery never really unfolded based off context and description, you could only rely on what was said by the narrator. All around I was just left wanting more. It picked up in the last 60 or so pages, but I finished it more out of compulsion than want.
