5th book of iso. This was wack and I kind of loved it. My first erotica, and honestly, a bizarrely interesting book about power, abuse and sexuality. I’ve read some shit over the last couple of weeks- but Rice presents some very subversive views for the time period and the publisher. Not to mention the fact that like Elliot- Rice is aware of what’s happening. She mentions the romantic and erotic ‘canon’ in passing, like she acknowledges that exit to eden is a direct response to the genre. I’ve read a lot of shit over the past 4 days. I’m tired, but this actually made me think about a lot.
