Haïkus du chat by Minami Shinbô

5.0

This tiny book of haikus (short Japanese poetry) presents well the profound knowledge of the minimal Japanese esthetique. Interestingly, we can observe as well "la mort de l'auteur" of Roland Barthes in the preface written by Minami.
Even though it's a short collection that you can finish in half an hour, it requires hours to taste and reflect the beauty of each haiku. Furthermore, the postface written by Brigitte Allioux gives us an elegant introduction to the poetique atmosphere established by Minami.
