Delicate Freakn' Flower by Eve Langlais

4.0

I was so in the mood to read something smexy and delicious. This book delivered on that 100%. I loved Naomi's character I thought it was hilarious that she was so feisty but yet so contained. It really brought something to the story that she just wanted a quiet home life where she could have nice things. I did feel bad for her at the beginning of the book when she gets hit in the face at the hockey game but of course then we got to meet Ethan and Javier. And oh my lord the deliciousness that flows from these two cannot be denied. Ethan is super sweet and protective and the description of a giant teddy bear is not wrong, it paints the most adorable picture and then he changes back and is super hot. Then we have Javier who is the ladies man but he's also vastly intelligent which takes Naomi by surprise. I loved it because Javier put together a good plan for winning Naomi's heart. I loved that it did end up working and it didn't hurt that there was actually a plot here.. Granted it was a little weaker than normal because this is primarily a romance novel but it was there. The only reason that it doesn't get 5 stars from me is because it felt a little bit abrupt at the end. There was an epilogue but I didn't feel like they were giving me anything other than what was expected in a romance novel and I would've liked to see something different.
