I've had this December 2022 amd finally read. I now realize I don't like cozy gay mysteries. I only finished this because wanted to know who. I guest the twist right before was revealed though. Few times I laughed but I was mostly bored.
Ellery inherited his (add 3 in front) greats aunt's bookstore and home. He came from New York to Pirate's Cove. Now people are turning up dead one in his own shop and he's suspect number one.
I liked the moments with Ellery and Jack the police chief especially the dog incident that brought up in his office. I also liked Nora and Watson the puppy he finds and adopts but that was it. The plot didn't hold me just wanted to know who and why and like I said I figured it out right before reveal since became obvious to me. I give this to someone who might like it. Won't be continuing the series either. There wasn't enough interaction with Ellery and Jack romantic wise.
