Saw someone describe this "not as a ghost story but a story about ghosts" and there is some truth to that. Listening to it as an audiobook, I fear that I didn't get the time to really digest the prose, however, I know na lisud ni siya basahon nako if dili audiobook. Maybe balikan nako ni na mas well-researched na ko. The non-linear storytelling and the intensity in Toni Morrison's reading really made everything feel as heavy as it is -

especially when Denver's, Sethe's, and Beloved's voices were mixed into one chapter
