Where He Can't Find You by Darcy Coates

3.5

While it was an entertaining read, it didn’t quite live up to my expectations. The story takes place in the eerie town of Doubtful, where a group of teens is trying to uncover the truth behind some gruesome murders connected to a legend called "The Stitcher." The suspense is definitely there, and the atmosphere is creepy, but it took a little while for me to really get invested.

The characters were okay, but I found myself wishing I knew more about them—especially some of the side characters who felt a bit flat. The creepy lore about "The Stitcher" was unique, and I loved the idea, but I felt like the story could have gone deeper into it.

There were moments of real tension, but the pacing slowed down a lot in the middle, which made it hard to stay fully engaged. That said, the ending picked up and brought things to a satisfying conclusion.

Overall, it’s a solid read if you like YA horror with a supernatural twist, but it didn’t blow me away like I hoped it would. Definitely worth checking out if you enjoy creepy stories, but it wasn’t a standout for me.
