The Book That Broke the World by Mark Lawrence

2.5

im going to blame my mood for not liking this book. still the concept of an infinite library that tracends time and space is amazing to me and love to read about it but.

the characters became quite insufferable in this book and some of their interactions just don't make sense. you're telling me, clovis, ms I'll kill every human that dares cross my path, did a full 180 just cause she realized she was basically raised by two of them AND then went and fell in love (?) with the first nice human she encountered ??? book1 clovis would NEVER

and I just simply can't for the life of me get how livira and evar are a thing,,, you met for like a day (technically more but they didn't really know each other that well)

yute and wentworth (?) are my favs and they barely get an appearance. and don't get me started on mark killing malar WHAT DO YOU MEAN? he just died ?? that simple ??? and didn't even get more than a proper sentence ??? like I thought he was going to get back up from the way livira was narrating. and MELEEN ??? he also (apparently) died ??? not really clear, but how can you do this to me. meanwhile evar gets shot the same way malar did but noooo he's alive purely on spite.

and the "sides" they now have to pick, and basically all this thing about choice only for mayland and yute to make livira's choice for her,,, bullshit. I think I'm done with this series, at least temporarily
