This series just continues to be amazing! I love Bree- her quest, her character development, her hair *chef's kiss* I really enjoyed getting to have more Nick in this book, and his character really gained a lot of depth. I liked him a lot in Legendborn, but he was just a cinnamon roll MMC then, and he really matured and evolved in this book. I feel like Bree also really matured a lot in this book, to the point that sometimes I forgot she and Nick are just 17, but they are in a world that forced them to grow up fast. I loved seeing their romance rekindle, and the whole knowledge loss made it that much more interesting. I was totally shipping Bree + Sel after Bloodmarked, but I really fell back in love with Bree + Nick: their vibes and love felt deeper than what was described in Legendborn. The plot was great- engaging, surprising, and never lagging. I also enjoyed learning more about the Morgaines and the shadowborn; the world building has just been fascinating! And oh, that ending! That was a twist!!! Cannot WAIT for the last book to come out!
