My Mama, Cass: A Memoir by Owen Elliot-Kugell

3.0

3 1/2 stars

Interesting look into the person and impact of "Mama" Cass Elliot. A bit name-droppy (lest, perhaps that's unavoidable with music & culture at the time) and basically a collection of mostly second-hand accounts. More than half the book is about the author and therefore NOT specifically about Cass, and though interesting, that is not what I expected. If you like The Mamas & the Papas (like me), you'll appreciate this quick read.
