The Masks We Burn by Lee Jacquot

5.0

Enemies to lovers and a fake fiance!

William and Amora met each other once in high school and let's just say it was NOT a positive experience. Now they find themselves working with one another as the maid of honor and best man at the same wedding. On top of that, William needs help only Amora can provide and Amore is desperate for a buffer between her and an overbearing mother determined to see her daughter married to someone well-off as soon as she graduates from college.

The more time they spend together the better they understand one another and the harder it is to deny the growing attraction between them. But can Amora have the independence and self-determination she craves while in a loving relationship? Or does she have to choose between the two?
