Hands down the best RPG core rule book I have ever read. The entire book uses a consistent, illustrative example which makes Fate Core feel to have a sense of narrative and progress, unlike most RPG rule books, which tend to feel like lists of boring facts and numbers you must strive to remember. The art is a lovely accompaniment and the layout is fantastic, with plenty of page references and ample explanation. The philosophy of GMing that Fate Core encourages is very inclusive, fun, creative and collaborative and this book is where learning about all that begins.
