The first 50 pages or so was interesting, and what I was expecting out of a book with the tagline “a brief history of humankind.” But I felt the book quickly changed gears, focusing more on theory and social commentary of modern times, which I can get out of a fiction book with much more enjoyment than almost any non-fiction book.
