I was pleasantly surprised with how this story went. I’ve always had a curiosity about the Book of Revelations - but I never thought about how the specific prophecies might play out. I kinda had a general idea - but imagine riding side by side with one of the four horseman. We know what they are being sent to do, but what would a front hand seat look like?
Thalassa weaves a tale that tells us just that. I was hooked from the beginning of the book and found it hard to put down. Although the book overall was the same thing happening, (Pestilence was sent to spread plague) you get changes in scenery and new characters. You also got to watch Pestilence and Sara change as the story went on. It was crazy how a repeat activity could have so many changes at the same time. Thalassa did a great job making a couple verses in the Bible into a fabulous full length novel!
I also loved the ending of the book. The end also leads you to the next book in the series. I’m excited to start the next book - I feel like this series will read like one big story.
