The three stars are for the writing and for Grey.
The rest of this book was baffling. It reminds me of the Disney/Pixar sequels where they focus on the favorite character from the first film, and more often than not, nothing is added to the story. That's what this is. The main characters from the first book have ZERO character development. In fact, they're hardly in this book, and when they are, they act completely out of character, and we're never shown why.
This "sequel" is just Grey running around with Lia Mara, who only exists as a love interest. Her character is so passive, I don't understand how they even fall for each other.
