Really, only a few grammatical errors kept this from being a 5 star book. It was really good. It was published by Zondervan, and the hard cover copy that I checked out from my library had very thin, low quality paper, and there were two extremely obvious places where there were errors that should have been seen right away by even a poor editor.

The story was wonderful. Girl has difficult childhood, is adopted, grows up, grows inside, etc. The kind of book that hits home, taking place during World War II so you have historical detail also. There is a mild Christian story line, but I am not tagging it with Christian because I tend to reserve that tag for books which I feel have an obvious evangelical bias, and I didn't feel that with this story. (I am sure there are others who would disagree with me though.)
