“What exactly are you winning?” “You, of course. What a prize too. A little bit of ornery, a lot of sass, and a bunch of growling. What a lovely bride you’ll make.”

This book was so fun, swoon-worthy and enjoyable! The way Wyatt chased Aubree made me melt and the marriage of convenience trope was well executed! The banter between Wyatt & Aubree was hilarious and the way Wyatt knew all the buttons to push to stir Aubree was laudable. Most of the book was light-hearted but then towards the end, it got deeper and as I read more and more of Aubree's pov, it made me feel so sad for her. She really needed someone like Wyatt in her life because he could make her feel good about herself and chased away her insecurities with his witt and laid back personality. She had deep emotional trauma and Wyatt was like a breath of fresh air who was capable to heal her insecurities. Also, this book is a slow burn and I must say, it was very well carried out because I could definitely feel the intense chemistry and sexual tension between Wyatt & Audree and I just wanted them to realise their feelings instantaneously. While I really loved them both, sometimes they could be incredibly stubborn and I felt like the drama in the end was unnecessary and could've been handled a bit better and the actual marriage of convenience part was after 50% which was kind of a let down tbh. But overall, not only was this book hilarious and had good romance but also had so many emotional and cute moments. Every Meghan Quinn book I read, definitely does not disappoint and this book and all it's characters made me fall in love with the story! I'm so excited to see if Ryland and Maggie get their own books because I'm not ready to bid goodbye to these characters yet!
