An Offer From a Gentleman
by Julia Quinn
A CINDERELLA STORY!
Im a sucker for modern rendition of classic stories, and I didn't expect to find one here. Ive read up to the 6th book of this series and maannnn this surely is my favorite. I love Sophie and her obstinacy, how until the end she hold on to her principal; she won't let her child experience her childhood. Benedict is my favorite Bridgerton so farーthe only thing he did against Sophie's will is blackmailing her to go to London. And to be fair, that's more for her own good, although its still annoying how Benedict decides he knows whats the best for her. I also love the balance between fairy tale feels and the realities of it. Bonus for Violet letting her son marry whoever he wants but warned him that it wont be easy.
