I really enjoyed this book! I thought that the magic system was incredibly unique and really enjoyed the implications of how it worked. This book’s plot really reminded me of Red Rising by Pierce Brown, with our main character being chosen to rise up and effectively dismantle the society from the inside. However this book takes a different angle and it was incredibly engaging. I think there were multiple days where I just sat down and didn't get up for hours since I wanted to see what happens next. I would recommend this book to fantasy lovers who like the kind of training/school arc, but that is definitely a simplification of this book!
