* Super steamy!

This is a blend of... The 100, and The Divergent... but make it multiple supernatural species - humans, fae, mixed-raced etc. in a world that is an urban dystopia, where magic meets technology. Humans and fae are at a tentative alliance following a war between races that almost annihilated the humans about 20 years ago when the barrier between the human worlds and world of magical creatures collapsed leading to not only discrimination and war, but also to the decimation of a large number of human technologies.

Our main character Brex was born on that day, the day that led to the falling of the barrier. A human ward living under the protection of Human Defence Force, she has had a privileged and sheltered life, despite being an orphan. Spends her days training to be a soldier, afternoons as a lady of the court, and nights sneaking out of her secure palace to thieve on the trade trains that travel between her protected city and the cities beyond. One night, following some unpleasant news, she goes on one more mission on a trade train that leads to her capture by the fae and she finds herself in the feared fae prison Halalhaz.

Things lead to things! Read and find out!

It gives serious Divergent - Dauntless house vibes, and the chemistry between the main two characters in this book is just smooookinnn'.
