I’m finding this new fun habit of walking down the aisle of my local store and grabbing a random book from their limited selection based on cover and title only. This was my newest discovery and my goodness this was a GOOD ONE. I recognized the author from my “want to read” list-though I’ve yet to read her other works, I’ve heard good things.
I BLITZED through this book. Spellbound and fully captivated. Heart in my throat half the time. Major TWs to be found within for cult behavior, abuse, bodily harm, and coerced assault. This one will stay with you. This one will linger with you. The allure of a cult, the charismatic leader, the brokenness left in his wake...all too real and too factual for this book to be read and cast aside as fiction. This is ripped from the pages of reality and it was WELL. DONE. Well worth reading.
