I think the basic premise behind the book was a good one, but Phoenix kind of killed it for me. In the end when she insisted on going along she acted like a spoiled brat. I felt the attraction between her and Jayden should have been explored more, him trying to figure out why he was drawn to a human, and that human in particular. I realize that's probably something for the sequel, but by not at least getting it started more it felt as if there was something lacking in this one.
